Your resource for Type 1 Diabetes support and supplies.

Established in 2025 and based out of Minnesota, Shots of Hope is a calling after a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. At Shots of Hope, we are dedicated to raising awareness for type 1 diabetes and the challenges faced by those living with this condition. We strive to bridge the gap in healthcare disparities through education and support.

We believe that no one should face diabetes alone. Shots of Hope offers community support and educational resources to bridge the gaps in the healthcare system for type 1 diabetics.
Type 1 diabetes is a diagnosis that, as of right now, is life long. Currently, type 1 diabetics have to rely on insulin and are in need of specific medical access to specialists, prescriptions and devices to help manage diabetes and maintain healthy. However, a majority of the diabetic population in the United States alone are not given the opportunity to obtain access to the medical necessities, forcing deteriorating health, amputations and even death.
T1D, along with many of other medical diagnoses are not a choice. Shots of Hope is here to help raise awareness to the unequal medical access, to help those in need gain access to supplies and to push for a cure.
The Fight Against Big Pharmaceutical
The year of 1923 in Toronto Canada, three individuals by the names of Sir Frederick Banting, Charles H. Best and James Collip successfully developed and tested insulin. It was then decided that the three would sell the patent for $1.00 each to the University of Toronto.
The purpose for the cost was to ensure that the insulin would be affordable and accessible to those in need. The University then sold the insulin to Eli Lilly resulting in the extreme increase in cost.
Join the movement for affordable insulin and make your voice heard. Help us by signing the petition to lower insulin costs to be what they were intended to be.
"Insulin does not belong to me, it belongs to the World!"
-Frederick Banting
